Matt Rigney has fished New England fresh and saltwater for nearly 40 years as well as locations ranging from Bermuda to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia and Georges Bank 100 miles south of Nova Scotia. He is a member of Oceana, the largest ocean restoration group in the world, with over 300,000 members in more than 240 countries.

He has been published in the Brownstone Review, The Boston Globe, Orion Online and Huffington Post, where he blogs about fishing and the ocean. In Pursuit of Giants is his first work of non-fiction.
